Birthways, Inc. is Chicagoland's oldest and largest community of labor support and postpartum doulas. Birthways provides expectant and new mothers and their families with support during pregnancy, birth and early parenting. Services include:

Childbirth Education Classes

Preparing for the birth of your child is an important part of pregnancy. Birthways offers childbirth classes that provide accurate and thorough information about what to expect from prenatal care, the labor process, the hospital or home environment, and from your relationship with your care providers. Wednesday Childbirth Education Classes

8 week series-Held weekly from 6:30pm-8:30pm

Saturday Condensed Childbirth Education Classes

4 week series-Held weekly from 1pm-5pm

Weekend Intensive Childbirth Education Classes

Meets Saturday and Sunday from 9am-3pm

Private Childbirth Education Classes

For families unable to join our group classes or who prefer one-on-one instruction in their home or our offices. Call for rates and availability.

About Birthways' CHhildbirth Education Classes

Classes usually run consecutively, but might be canceled during holidays. Dates might be subject to change. The series meet for 16 hours and cover the same curriculum, regardless of the number of weeks in the class except for the weekend intensive. For families who have already given birth, please call for details about our refresher class. The cost for the childbirth education series is $300 for the series, $225 for the intensive and the refresher is $150.
