Sign Up to Received Email Alerts of Recalled Baby and Children’s Products

Millions of recalled newborn, baby and children products are currently used in American homes. A recall is when the government (The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) and the manufacturer remove a product from the market because it is dangerous and can hurt or kill a child. However, even if the product is removed from store shelves very few steps are taken to remove the product from homes, childcare centers, secondhand stores and garage sales.

Kids In Danger (KID) is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting children by improving children’s product safety. KID’s mission is to advocate for children, promote the development of safer products and educate the public, especially first-time parents and caregivers, about unsafe baby products. KID takes a proactive approach to injury prevention through our programs to promote the development of safer products and educate families and caregivers about unsafe baby products.

  • Safe from the Start — SFTS educates a large and diverse body of parents, childcare providers and healthcare professionals about dangerous and recalled children’s products. Through SFTS, KID conducts workshops on children’s product safety for parents, communities and childcare providers. KID distributes lifesaving children’s product safety information at a wide range of health and safety events year-round.
  • The Debby Sayah Grandparent Outreach Project – provides this essential population of caregivers with focused product safety information.
  • Teach Early Safety Testing — TEST promotes and encourages designers and engineers to incorporate safety and testing into product development, primarily by working with undergraduate engineering programs.
  • Kids In Danger’s monthly email alert - Receive a monthly email alert that includes news about children’s product safety and KID, and a list of children’s products recalled that month. Sign up by clicking here.
