What should a new mommy look for in a Houston maternity photographer?  Many people don't realize that proper posing and lighting is critical―and is being ignored by many photographers.  Proper posing doesn't look awkward or staged, and beautiful lighting is key in creating depth and flattering the subject. Wrong lighting can actually add weight to the subject.  In no other type of photography is this more true than in maternity photography!

While many photographers don't photograph pregnancy sessions much differently than they would an engagement session, at Kastler Photography, we view the session as a chance for you to preserve the AMAZING beauty of your pregnancy as ART as well as the warmth of the relationships involved with your growing family. 

We help you design your own session.  You choose from over 400 ideas covering poses, wraps, clothing, props, etc.  We will find the beauty in your pregnancy.  With 20 years of experience at helping people look their best, we'll draw on your strong points and minimize your areas of insecurity with proper posing and lighting.  Stretch marks and bruises can be included or digitally removed for final prints if you wish.  Most artwork is included in our remarkably low print prices! (Please realize that we don't put our most amazing work online, as it is personal for our clients as well as a potential ideas source for our competition!  We could show you our best work in person.)

Newborn & Baby Photography

We offer single sessions or multi-session packages to include a baby session for your little one as well as packages to cover the baby's first year of growth! 

Kids are Fantastic, Too!

Not just limited to belly and newborn photography, we're great with kids also. You'll never hear us telling a child to smile—that usually happens naturally when they become comfortable with a talented, goofy photographer!

Photography Types & Fine Art Keepsakes

We offer either the natural light session in your home, or will bring studio lights and backdrops to create amazing fine art of your own.  Fine art isn't just for millionares!  With 8x10's at only $22.00 and 5x7's for $16.00, we're keeping art affordable!  We also offer prints,  albums, purse albums for your baby's session, collages, and more.
