Finding the Perfect Stroller

strollerWhen picking the perfect stroller, what do you need to know? The thing about it is that there is not one stroller that will do everything you want (sorry, no magic genie involved!). We suggest making a list of what you want in a stroller: the functions, uses, and features most important to you. The two most common types of strollers are classified as all terrain (joggers) and full service.

All terrains are great not only for the everyday jogger, but also for the everyday parent. Most are three-wheeled with air-filled tires to support the gravel, dirt, sidewalk, and anything else you may encounter. All have wheels with the ability to swivel or lock in place while jogging. Many come in the single or double versions.

Full service strollers are great because most have the ability to be a 3 in 1 package. They work with a bassinet, adapter for an infant car seat, and the stroller seat. As your child grows you are able to change the attachments. These strollers are excellent because the seat can be forward or rear facing, have adjustable handlebars, and fold easily.

Another category of strollers is the umbrella. These are designed to be as light weight as possible, easy to travel with, and great for quick in and out trips to the store. The umbrella strollers do not have the capability to take an infant car seat so we recommend these for when the child is a bit older.

The process may be a long one but just talk to the parenting experts. There are many great sources for advice, such as friends, family, websites and blogs!

When looking for a stroller, do not go into it thinking you are going to find the "perfect" one. Decide what you want more—a jogger type or one that is full service and you can see your baby. In the end, most people end up with more than one stroller to fit different needs and occasions.

So good luck on your search and Happy Strolling!
