Montgomery Hospital’s Arthur & Lea Powell Maternal and Child Care Center is dedicated to making your baby’s birth a warm, comfortable, and joyous experience. Our caring, professional Maternity Services staff will give you the information and support you need to feel more relaxed and confident in the days prior to, during, and following the birth of your child.

You and your baby will receive attentive and personalized care in a comfortable private room where the entire birthing process – including labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum – takes place. A family-centered approach to newborn care will help bring your family closer together as you open this special chapter in your lives.

Montgomery Hospital’s compassionate, dependable maternity care team is there to meet all medical needs. Nurses are specially trained to care for women before, during and after delivery. This includes training in managing high-risk pregnancies and any complications that may arise. Pediatricians and neonatologists are on call 24 hours each day to provide specialized Level II neonatal care.

Maternity services at Montgomery Hospital also include quality health care services from a team of Certified Nurse Midwives licensed and certified by national examination, breastfeeding support, and their First Steps Childbirth Education Classes, taught by experienced maternity nurses who work in labor and delivery and are certified in childbirth education.
