- Second largest center for maternity services in the region with approximately 2,000 births per year
- Highly personalized labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care with a "Family Centered Care" approach, which focuses on the needs and desires of mothers and their families and encourages families to spend as much time as possible with their infants
- Major referral center for high-risk fetal care, with expertise in preterm birth, premature rupture of membranes, diabetes and hypertension in pregnancy, targeted fetal ultrasound, antepartum testing and fetal therapy, including fetal blood transfusion
- Level III neonatal intensive care for critically ill infants, including ground and air neonatal transports
- 15 Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) suites (5 of which offer Jacuzzi tubs), allowing mothers to remain in one room throughout their experience
- Immediate access to critical care for mother and infant, with operating rooms available within the unit for emergency cesarean sections
- Home to the patient offices for the Jones Institute at West Penn Allegheny Health System, an affiliate of the world renowned Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine of Eastern Virginia Medical School, and a leader in infertility diagnosis and treatment
