Homebirth Midwifery Services in the St. Louis Area

Common Ground Midwifery Services offers homebirth services in the St. Louis area. Homebirth is an excellent option for low-risk mothers-to-be. Homebirth services range from $1,600 - $2,500 and include both prenatal and postpartum care from Certified Professional Midwife, Dana Albillo.

Dana began training in midwifery in 2000, has apprenticed in several Midwestern states, partnered in homebirth practices, and worked as an intern at birth centers in Miami and El Paso as well as a maternity hospital in Russia –logging more than 1,500 hours of training and over 200 births attended.

Homebirth Services Include:

All Prenatal Visits

• Visits based on the same schedule as you would see an OBGYN or Nurse Midwife.
• One in-home prenatal visit included when you reach term.

Labor Support

• Present several hours during labor, birth, and several hours after.

Waterbirth Option

• Waterbirthing Tubs available for additional fee.

Newborn Exam

24 Hours ‘On Call' (Postpartum)

3 to 5 Postpartum Visits

• Visits typically ranging from 2 to 6 weeks after baby is born
• First two follow up appointments are in-home visits
• Second two follow up appointments are conducted in Dana's home
  

Childbirth Education Referral Services:

For expectant mothers who wish to take childbirth education classes specifically focused on homebirth and entirely natural childbirth, childbirth educator referrals are available.
