At Penn Ob/Gyn Care, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate health care for women. We strive to provide each patient with individualized care for her unique needs. Our team of highly skilled professionals includes:

  • Obstetricians
  • Perinatalogists / Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Certified nurse-midwives
  • Neonatologists
  • Specially-trained nurses
  • Genetic counselors
  • Social workers

We offer a wide array of specialized services to ensure healthy babies, healthy mothers and happy families.

Intensive Care Nurseries

All of the Penn hospitals have Intensive Care Nurseries (ICNs) staffed by dedicated physicians from The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and by Penn nurses who are trained in neonatal intensive care. Our level III Intensive Care Nurseries at Pennsylvania Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania manage the complex problems of sick and pre-term infants. Our staff keeps you informed on the conditions that may affect your baby and the equipment and tests used to treat your newborn. Our ICNs provide specialized care so you can be confident your baby is receiving the best treatment possible.

High Risk Pregnancy Services
High-risk pregnancies require close monitoring by a specialist. The perinatologists in Penn's Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine are able to care for your unique needs in consultation with your obstetrician, or, if your condition warrants, the perinatologists will assume responsibility for your ongoing prenatal care and delivery.

Other Penn Ob/Gyn Care Pregnancy and Childbirth Services
Penn also offers genetic counseling, fetal testing, midwifery services and lactation consultants. Education and support services at Penn include childbirth, breastfeeding and parenting classes.

Additional services offered by Penn Ob/Gyn Care
In addition to our comprehensive maternity programs, we also provide subspecialty gynecologic services including fertility, urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery and gynecologic oncology programs.
