Labor and Delivery

The Childbirth Center at Griffin Hospital offers family-centered maternity care in an environment that will best meet individual and family needs. The specially trained nurses, doctors and lactation consultants follow the patient-centered Planetree philosophy to puts patients’ needs first.

Private, family-friendly rooms feature a cozy decor that maximizes comfort. The decision of whether or not to use medication is a personal one and our childbirth nurses will respect and support whichever method you choose. If you choose natural childbirth, birthing balls are available for positioning and our Jacuzzi provides a relaxing place to labor. If you prefer to use medication during labor, a variety of options are available, including epidural anesthesia.

Rooms are equipped to allow your new baby to stay in the room with you and a modern nursery is available for your convenience. Some rooms are available with double beds so that your partner may stay with you overnight.
