Dr. Katherine A. Kadin discovered her calling after chiropractic helped heal her collarbone, broken in a rugby game, and has been a practicing chiropractor since 2000. She founded Kadin Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center in 2007, in order to bring fully body healing for the whole family through chiropractic care to the DC community. Dr. Kadin believes that since chiropractic helps the body to heal itself, regular chiropractic care is the foundation of a long and healthy life.

Chiropractic care can aid any expectant mother, to relieve the aches and pains associated with pregnancy, to boost energy, and to decrease labor time and labor pain. Each expectant mother is provided with extensive literature covering a range of topics related to
wellness pregnancy and childbirth. Dr. Kadin maintains a wide contact referral network for DC-Area midwives, doulas, obstetricians, and birth professionals. For women experiencing high risk pregnancy, Dr. Kadin’s passion for working with expectant mothers and babies has led her to become one of the few chiropractors in the area certified in the Webster Technique, a gentle, specific technique designed especially to aid in proper fetal position in the 3rd Trimester by relieving the causes of intra-uterine constraint during pregnancy, which is the most common cause of breech babies. Through proper fetal position a less painful and prolonged labor is possible and a C-Section may become less necessary. To properly execute the Webster Technique, Dr. Kadin uses a specially designed adjusting table that accommodates the expectant mother’s changing body. In order to advance her mission of helping as many children and families as possible, Dr. Kadin is a member of International Chiropractic Pediatric association, and is pursuing her DACCP (Diplomate of the American Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics), an advanced degree in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic.

Children of all ages are welcome at Kadin Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center. There is a kid friendly play area, plenty of staff supervision, and a children’s library. Dr. Kadin encourages the busy mother to bring her children along to the office, whether the child is a patient or not; the child can be easily looked after while the mother receives her care. For the pediatric patient, Dr. Kadin is trained in specific techniques for children, in order to safely and comfortably align their spines, which gives them not only a happy childhood, but also the best chance of avoiding a subluxation-related problems in adulthood. For the child suffering from particular ailments, Dr. Kadin has had success diminishing symptomatic problems from food allergies, to sleep complaints, to colic, through correction of the spine.

Operating in a spacious and comfortable office on Rockville Pike, Kadin Family Chiropractic and Wellness Center, Dr. Kadin cultivates a trusting and caring relationships between herself and her patients, by taking the time to get to know them and tailoring their care to their specific needs, as determined by an extensive exam. Every moment in the office is an education opportunity; patients are encouraged to browse the many books and pamphlets pertaining to chiropractic, health, and wellness.
