Newborn Photographer in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Kortney Ringel specializes in casual and artistic portraits of pregnancy, newborns, babies and kids; conveniently located in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  Sessions will take place in her home studio or she is available for a limited number of weekday on-location sessions.  Sessions typically last around an hour, although newborn sessions do tend to take longer.  Kortney’s mission is to create images that capture who your children are and maybe even capture a glimpse into who they will become. 

Her style is style; she prefers not to focus on busy backgrounds or props but instead to make this about you, your family, and the essence of your life.  She believes that each moment you have with your child is one-of-a kind and is passionate about capturing those special memories for you.  The flakey, wrinkly skin of the first days, the smiles, the tears, the missing teeth, the awkward stages, the cute baby bottoms, snuggles with mom and dad. It is all gone too fast and it is so special to have photographs that help you FEEL what it was like then.

Maternity

Nothing is more beautiful than the glow of an expecting mother; the goal is to capture the beautiful curves and create images that celebrate this special time in your life.  Done alone or with the family, Kortney will find the perfect way to showcase your baby bump and the joy of a growing family.  Sessions should be scheduled to take place between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Newborns

In order to capture that precious wrinkly skin of a newborn, sessions should take place within the first 10 days of your baby’s life.Bare baby skin makes the most beautiful portraits, and Kortney prefers to photograph newborns this way. Newborn sessions are tailored to fit you and your baby’s needs, and they do tend to take 2 hours or longer to allow for breaks.
